Summer Enrichment Opportunities
Scrubs Camp is a healthcare career immersion program where students explore various aspects of healthcare and the careers that exist within. The goal of Scrubs Camp is to get students excited and interested in pursuing a career in healthcare, and to go back home motivated and focused on what they can do in high school to prepare for that potential career.
Scrubs Camps are offered as both day camps and overnight camps, where students get to stay overnight on a college campus. Many of the camps offer scholarships that cover the tuition (see each camp for details).
WHO: Students entering grades 9-12 in Fall 2024
WHEN: Camps range from 2-5 days; dates are varied

According to the US Department of Labor, there were nearly 10 million STEM occupations in 2021. That number is likely to increase by almost 11% by 2031. Wages in STEM careers are higher too. In May 2021, the median salaries for STEM occupations were $95,420, compared to $40,120 for non-STEM occupations.
The U of M offers several STEM-related camps and many of them are free. A few of the camps listed need the 2024 refresh, so check back often and apply early.
